Kenneth William Mariash
Since the 1960s, Kenneth William Mariash has been an owner, buyer, commercial builder and investor in real estate and other significant companies throughout North America. Within this scope, Mr. Mariash has developed and built large-scale commercial high-rise buildings, office complexes, apartment buildings, regional shopping centres and hotels. He has also arranged and managed financing and construction for a variety of real estate ventures, including large-scale residential subdivisions.
Mr. Mariash has owned several major businesses, including one of Canada's largest construction and development firms. Eventually, his interest expanded into the United States and he remains active in both countries.
For the past few years, Mr. Mariash and Focus Equities have been involved with institutional investors working on recapitalization and debt restructuring for a wide variety of North American properties. Mr. Mariash has raised hundreds of millions of dollars in equity to pay off debt on leveraged properties.
His scholastic accomplishments have resulted in his earning four university degrees: Baccalaureates in Mathematics and Science, Business and Accounting, Architecture and a Masters in Business Administration. From his experience in all aspects of the development/construction business, he understands the full cycle of events required for the successful completion of large-scale projects, including time, budget, finance, manpower and management considerations.
Mr. Mariash and his companies have decades of experience with large business transactions that have created close relationships with institutions and equity participants. The greatest strength of these associations has been the ability to accurately evaluate each project, individually structure each deal, and raise the monies necessary to close and complete each project.
Over the past 30 years, Mr. Mariash and his companies have been associated with the completion or purchase and sale of over 10,000,000 square feet (929,000 square metres) of commercial space, over 5,000,000 square feet (464,000 square metres) of industrial space and in excess of 10,000 residential/condominium units.
Mr. Mariash, Focus Equities and various affiliate companies will be integrally involved to successfully develop the Aurum Energy Park.
